What the tool actually does

Only existing grass

The lawn is isolated before anything is recoloured, so driveways, sidewalks, planting beds and gravel keep their own colour. Nothing is painted in where grass was not already growing.

Matched to the light in the shot

The strength adapts to the exposure, so an evening exterior does not end up with a lawn that looks lit by a different sun than the house.

Cheap enough for the batch

What lawn repair will not do

  • It repairs grass. It cannot fill bare dirt — if there is no lawn there, none will appear.
  • A lawn almost entirely in deep shadow has little colour information to work from.
  • Artificial turf and unusual ground cover are not what this was tuned on.

lawn repair

  • Can it add a lawn where there is only dirt?
    No, and that is deliberate. Inventing a lawn on bare ground misrepresents the property. This repairs grass that already exists.
  • Will it turn the whole garden green?
    No. Planting beds, gravel, paths and paving are identified and left alone. Only the grass is recoloured.
  • Do I keep the original resolution and metadata?
    Yes. Exports come back at the resolution you uploaded, and EXIF, XMP and ICC data are carried through to the downloaded file at 300 dpi.
  • What if I run two edits on the same photo?
    A job is charged once, at the rate of its most expensive edit: a sky replacement and a declutter on the same frame is one 2-credit job, not two charges. Fireplace and TV screens are separate tools and add 1 credit each on top.
  • Do I need a subscription to try it?
    Yes. Plans start at $15 a month for 30 credits, and unused plan credits roll over for three months. You can cancel at any time; the plan and the credits in your balance stay usable until the end of the billing period you have paid for.
